The Lagos chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria has desctibed the news of the death of Pastot Dare Adeboye as shocking while also comisserating with the father of the deceased, Pastor Enoch Adeboye and the entire Redeemed Christian Church of God.
The body in a letter addressed to Pastor Adeboye and signed by the State chairman, Apostle Eyinnaya Okwuonu and the State secretary, Apostle Akin Akindejoye said ‘The news of the sudden translation of your beloved son, our dear brother Pastor Dare Adeboye came to us as a shock’
The fellowship however took solace in the word of God that “precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints”. Psalms 116:15, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain!” Philippians 1:21.’
Referring to Pastor Adeboye in the letter, the fellowship states ‘The Lagos State Chaper of PFN fully condole with you, the entire Adeboye family and the Redeemed Christian Church Of God RCCG at this time of mourning.
‘We pray and desire that the Almighty God whose you are and whom you serve will fully assuage your griefs at this time. May his word comfort you and the entire family.’
The fellowship also prayed against the recurrence of this unsavoury incident, ‘we pray for God’s protection and preservation on every member of the family in Jesus Christ name.’
