“Why couples need to cultivate the habit of praising God”

Founder of Family Covenant Prayer Ministry, Rev Kayode Odesanya has said it’s important for couples to cultivate the habit of praising God always.

couple praiseHe made this observation in a statement announcing the annual sacrifice of praise rally that will be hosted by his ministry on October 9 in Lagos.

Odesanya said, “many families don’t know the value of their union until they lose it. Many couples who have separated are regretting it today. So, if you are still married there is reason to thank God. There may be challenges in our homes, but we should not be in despair. Rather we should continually praise God. The fact that we are still together as couples is enough to give thanks to God.”

The marriage counsellor noted that many homes are in disarray today because they don’t learn to thank God for little beginnings in their lives. “Many families are in a hurry and sometimes are too dissatisfied with their lives.

“That is why they are not making progress. No matter the situation we find ourselves, we should thank God. We should appreciate him. What we think is not enough will be more than enough.”

He said further that the annual sacrifice of praise is a platform that was created to give an opportunity for married people to come together to praise God and appreciate him for His mercy. What we appreciate will blossom. We want to keep encouraging couples to live a life of praise. That is what we want to do”

The programme according to him holds on October 9 at Beverly International Events Centre, 35-37 Shogbamu Street, Bariga Road, New Garage, Lagos.
