Coronavirus has come to stay but… Adeboye

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said coronavirus  which is currently ravaging the world has come to stay; declaring that though it will subside, it will remain in the background.

In a message this morning  March 22,  which was broadcast from dove media studio,  Adeboye said the deadly virus is  God’s own way of silencing the world pointing out that it has come to say.

Referring to another prophet who had earlier prophesied that the virus would come to an end on March 27, Adeboye said ‘I can only say amen to that. But what the Lord is telling me is that the virus has come to stay. It will subside but will remain in the background.’

Making  allusion to his prophecies at the beginning of the year Adeboye said one of the things that God told him was that the world will be on a compulsory holiday.

‘When God told me that the world will be on compulsory holiday I could not deliver the message because if it happens as it is happening now they will come for me that I had a foreknowledge of what is happening.

‘But from what you can see, the world is on lockdown. The major countries of the world are locked down, smaller countries will be on lockdown too.’

  1. Adeboye said the Lord told him that ‘he wants to show the world that he is the one controlling the heavens and the earth. As soon as his purpose is achieved he will remove the plague but it will remain in the background.’

He said,  ‘some may wonder why will God use a plague to make himself known he said, the question is who controls Satan?  Before Satan could put sickness on Job he had to get permission from God. Satan can still be useful to God. That is why he is still being kept alive.’

The RCCG General Overseer however assured those he called his children not to fear saying no plague will come near them.

‘For those who fasted and prayed when we asked them  to  do so they have no reason to fear. Those who did not fast can still fast.’ he said.

In his message which dwelt largely on Psalm 91, Adeboye said this era of the dangerous virus is the time of trouble for those who are not in Christ. He said those who are under the shadows of the almighty have no reason to fear the rampaging plague.

He however urged his listeners to take hygiene serious. ‘cleanliness is next to godliness. You know we don’t joke with hygiene in this church. You need to stay clean and take all the precautions. And God will keep us safe’
