An x-ray of the prophecies of some prophets on the 2019 elections shows some of them saw clearly, some saw faintly while some missed the mark. Even at that, it may well be too early to judge their prophecies.
Perhaps the prophecy that seems to have convincingly missed the mark was that of Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse, General Overseer of Freedom for all Nations Outreach (FANO). He had reportedly warned Buhari that “he would be going beyond his boundaries if he contested in the 2019 elections. The Lord said his tenure is once, not twice.”
He predicted further that the next president of Nigeria would be a youth whose name starts with S. Well, perhaps such president would still come. But as it is, none of the candidates whose name starts with S is close to the presidency. Sowore who is a youth and one of the presidential candidates did not make a good showing at the polls.
Apostle Joshua Mone in his own 2019 election prediction had pleaded with Nigerians to pray saying he saw a conspiracy to postpone the elections. He added also that he saw President Mohammadu Buhari on a worrisome medical trip.
While declaring that Abubakar would win the election, he said, “the nation is Atikulated in 2019” adding however that there would be a negative manipulation of INEC.
One Apostle Dr. Amaukwu seemed to have got it right when he revealed that the People’s Democratic Candidate would head to the courts after the presidential election. He said the man in the opposition party will lose the election to the ruling party.
The cleric in his ten-point prophecy said, “Political Saboteurs will be exposed. He then urged Nigerians to “Pray against the return of sharia law. “There will be political tension that will force retired militants back to base. “Genocide will be on the increase.” He said.
The Presiding Pastor of Zionwealth of Life Assembly in the Lekki area of Lagos State, Apostle Chris Omatsola in his own prophecy said, : “I see serious bloodshed in Rivers. Governor Wike’s victory is of the Lord. But God said he should do more to stop the blood bath in Rivers State because 2019 would be Horrible.
On Atiku, he said, “Atiku Abubakar is my friend but his destiny pair with Peter Obi is not from God and very unfavourable. Nothing will come out of his political partnership with Peter Obi. It might look fantastic but it is not of the Lord. Atiku may lead Nigeria but definitely not with Peter Obi,. They are wrong destiny pair.
He however assured, “President Muhammadu Buhari is God’s mandate for 2019. God said he is giving President Buhari another opportunity to make History. Here is his opportunity to leave a legacy as he has always desired in his heart that Nigerian will never forget him. APC should be careful of breakout after 2019 elections. I see the hand of divisions amidst Victory. Please take note. “I see surprise Victory for APC. APC winning more states and spreading more in 2019. Adams Oshiomhole’s leadership in APC will benefit the party spiritually and otherwise.”
Prophet Temitope Aduroja, who predicted Goodluck Jonathan’s defeat in 2015, in his 28 point prophecies however did not see victory for the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.
He had prophesied that the presidential election would not hold on the day it was scheduled adding also that Governors Isiaka Ajimobi of Oyo, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun and Rochas Okorocha of Imo State will not achieve their ambition of becoming senators, adding that the trio will be defeated in the forthcoming elections.
Aduroja had boasted, “Don’t take these prophecies as a joke. If by the end of year 2019 75% of these prophecies do not become a reality, you are free to call me unprintable names you like. I will gladly accept it”,
He said further: “APC will lose IMO State Governorship election this time. Ogun State 2019 Governorship election is going to be interesting. APC may lose. Oyo State Governorship election is going to be interesting. The party that wins the presidential election will win the Governorship election in Oyo State.”
He had predicted that “President Buhari is likely to reduce the Pump price of petrol before the coming presidential election. This is a targeted attempt to woo voters in order to vote for him but unfortunately, it won’t work.” (the independent marketers attempted a reduction to N140 per litre)
He urged APC Governorship candidates to forget winning Rivers and Akwa Ibom State. The current Governors of those States will retain their seats. Senator Sheu Sani should forget about 2019. He won’t return to the red chamber.
The prophet said 2019 Governorship election will be different from 2015. It’s going to be based on achievements and personality contest. Some Governors in the North will not return. Buhari’s factors won’t work for them.
The current Governors of Enugu, Rivers, Cross River, Delta and Akwa Ibom will be reelected in year 2019.
If 2019 Presidential election is rigged at final stage, People will know the man who truly wins the race like that of Osun State. This may lead to anarchy. International community will call president Buhari to order.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye read a portion of the scriptures (Lamentation 3v22-23) to convey his prophecy for the year; ostensibly not wanting to be misquoted. Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka was not forthcoming as well though he predicted a win for Buhari. Mbaka however said the nation would face a monumental hardship that it had not seen in the last 58 years.
Apostle Johnson Suleman, Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Suleman in his prophecy had urged Atiku Abubakar to concentrate his campaign in the North if he really wanted to win convincingly.
Adeboye, Oyedepo and Eneche had prophesied that peace would reign in Nigeria urging believers to intensify their prayers.
For the General Overseer, Christ Apostolic Church Ori Oke Irapada, Prophet Christopher Owolabi the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari will extend beyond 2019.
He said: “The present leadership in piloting the affairs of this great nation as was revealed to me will extend beyond 2019 and there is going to be a brighter light at the end of the tunnel, socially and economically.”

Owolabi made the prediction during the church’s crossover night service tagged, Seeking for Nigeria’s Democratic Sustenance Beyond 2019, in Omu-Aran, Kwara State.
He also predicted a rapid socio-economic recovery for the country in the New Year, saying that Nigerian leaders need the urgent intercession of the citizens through prayers to consolidate on the gains of government’s anti-corruption fight.
Prophet Emmanuel Nwazuo however has a different prophetic angle from his colleagues. He said both President Muhammadu Buhari and the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will be declared winners of the 2019 elections urging Nigerians to pray against a blast at Nigeria’s seat of power, Aso Rock in 2019.
Prophet (Dr.) Marcus K.O. Tibetan during the launch of his prophetic book for the year in January had stated categorically that a landslide victory was waiting for President Muhammadu Buhari in the February presidential election.
Prophet Tibetan, who is the Head of Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Elisha Parish contended that Buhari will defeat Abubakar Atiku because of the president’s performance in the last four years.
As it is, we can only wait if some of the yet to be punctured prophecies would be able to stand the test of time.
